“Best B&B I have ever stayed at, plus a fantastic breakfast”
My wife and I wanted to take one last vacation together before having our first child, and Stowe VT was recommended to me by a colleague. We went in the ‘off season’ (not winter skiing season) and the town was friendly and not too crowded. The highlight of the stay was our B&B, where I think we could have happily spent the entire weekend. It has a beautiful view of a picturesque marsh & mountains, with ample private places to sit around the yard & enjoy the scenery. It is a short drive/modest walk from town center, and from some beautiful falls. The hosts were wonderful, both cooking us the best pancakes I have ever had (by a long shot), helping us find good activities, but not being intrusive or pushy when we just wanted to enjoy the view.
I am not usually one for luxury, and am turned off by places that are expensive for the sake of being exclusive. The 3 Bears was affordable and luxurious, and I felt like I really got my money’s worth. I definitely scored points with my wife by finding this gem.

We came, we saw and we conquered!!! What a place to stay! First of all the hospitality is even better then the 5 star hotels in NYC or even Vegas! But with an rural touch! And more personable!! The Three Bears is a very comfortable place to just relax, enjoy and unwind and see VT at its best. Its very close to town and many great places to eat! Including the great dishes served at the “Inn”!! Hope you have a chance to stay and enjoy the experience that we had at this wonderful establishment!!
“Great place, lovely people, best waffles you ever had”
We had a wonderful weekend. The house is much larger and has many more features for guests than most B&B’s — two large very welcoming decks, a pool, a jacuzzi, a screened-in gazebo. Beautiful views of sunset over the mountains.
The hosts Suzanne and Steve are really wonderful, and take a real interest in making sure you know all the good places to go and see, and have clear directions. Very freindly.
The best though is their waffles. You think you’ve had great waffles in your life. However good they were, consider them sub-par. No waffle you ever ate was as light and rich as these. And Steve will give you the receipe too!
