CVB team honored with multiple Adrian Awards, ADDY Awards

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (March 7, 2022) – The Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau (AICVB) has won four awards, including two gold, for outstanding travel marketing for winning entries in the 65and Annual Adrian Awards, the world’s largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition, organized by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI). The awards will be presented at the HSMAI Adrian Awards Celebration on March 30 at Boca Raton in Boca Raton, Florida. The AICVB also recently won three ADDY Awards, including two Gold and a “Best of”, at the annual American Advertising Awards, the industry’s largest and oldest creative competition. Winning entries will now enter the American Advertising Federation district competition, which includes all of Florida and the Caribbean.

“It is very gratifying to see several elements of our integrated marketing plan recognized by these two highly regarded award programs,” said Gil Langley, President and CEO of Amelia Island CVB. “Our professional marketing team and various partners are the brains and forces behind this award-winning work, but the awards belong to a much larger group. Only by working with the Nassau County Board of Commissioners and the Amelia Island Tourism Development Board that we were able to develop and execute a powerful and memorable – and now award-winning – marketing plan to drive the rapid recovery we have seen in our local tourism economy.

For 2021, HSMAI has designed the Adrian Awards to reflect the current travel landscape, with targeted categories of Recovery Marketing, Recovery Campaign Evolution, Technology Innovation and Corporate Social Responsibility, in addition to the categories traditional Adrian awards. Over 600 entries were submitted and judged by hospitality, travel, tourism and media experts.
