Miami Hotel Confirms Ch. 11 Plan With Mortgage Settlement

By Vince Sullivan (Jan. 12, 2022, 7:25 p.m. EST) – The owner of a downtown Miami hotel received approval from a Florida court on Wednesday for his Chapter 11 plan that resolves the ongoing dispute with his mortgage lender which led to his bankruptcy filing last year.

In an order issued by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert A. Mark of the Southern District of Florida, the court said the Mary Brickell Village Hotel LLC plan – which leaves all creditors intact – complies with the relevant sections of the Code of bankruptcies and could be confirmed.
